Thinking is the food of mind
The food of the mind is as Allah says:
"And think deeply about the creation of the heavens and the earth," 3-191
I.e. one should contemplate in the creatures of Allah, but instead of this, we make the mind now think about this life, what will I eat and drink today? What will I wear today and tomorrow? Where will I work tomorrow and after tomorrow? We occupied ourselves by this life. We closed the mind which Allah created to be the power of thinking that is used to thinking in the creation of Allah and don't use it as Allah orders, Allah says:
"Do they not look at the camels, how they are created? And at the heaven, how it is raised? And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? And at the earth, how it is spread out?" 88-17, 18, 19, 20
If we think deeply as Allah ordered, we will be guided by inspiration from Allah to what reform our conditions in this life, e.g. to invent, discover and make what we need and to be rich by Allah, to do without all the enemies of Allah, but we occupied ourselves by mean and low things which are guaranteed by Allah
